The school opened in 1959 and was joined by Green Meadows and Fairhaven Junior Schools in 1978 and in 1984 respectively. We are a one-story school with 15 classrooms.
Valleyfield Junior School received its name because of our beautiful site, a combination of a large open field and a pleasant valley.
